SL14 was selected from a single tree at Scott Agricultural Laboratories in Kenya in the late 1930s. It is a tall variety known for its high yield, good cup quality, and drought and cold tolerance but is vulnerable to all major coffee diseases. It is belongs to the Typica genetic group and is found in Kenya and Uganda.
